It’s the kick off to summer this weekend! The summer solstice is on Sunday June 21st at 9:39am.
Lots of fun things on deck this weekend, and we hope you can join us in Kelowna!
My top three things to do this weekend:
Come and cheer on the teams at the world’s largest street hockey tournament and Canada’s biggest sports festival! One of the stops of Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On 4-on-4 Road Hockey Tournament is here in Kelowna, and the event is this weekend on the streets surrounding Prospera Place. Join in the fun both days this weekend from 8am to 6pm.
- Alert to those with a sweet tooth! Come learn how to bake delicious cakes and desserts from the chef and owner of Sandrine French Pastry & Chocolate. You and five other participants will learn how to make three kinds of delicious fruit tarts! You could even make one for Dad for Father’s Day! For more info and to register call 250-860-1202.
- Petting zoos are always fun for the whole family! This Sunday is a special day at the Hoof Prints Barnyard Petting Zoo. In addition to the resident bunnies, goats and horses, there will also be a special reptile exhibit. Open from 10am to 4pm at 5850 Anderson Road near the Kelowna airport.
Have a safe and wonderful weekend.
