Weekends With Wesla: Summer Fun!

By October 7, 2018 No Comments

Kelowna weather doesn’t disappoint in the summer season! We have another sunny and warm pattern ahead this weekend with lots of things to do outside…

Here are my top three pics for the weekend:

  1. Imagine rocking out to live music on a 13 acre alpaca farm! The Bottega Festival is on Friday and Saturday.  Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy two days of music, arts and entertainment on the grounds of the Bottega Farm Inn and Studio.  There will be food and drinks available for purchase at the on site cafe, or pack a picnic for your family and friends.  Check out their promo video  Tickets are available online at

    Bottega Festival

  2. If sports are more of your style, check out the Kelowna Falcons baseball game. The Falcons will start a three game home-stand against the Wenatchee Applesox on Thursday until Saturday. All three of the games are at 6:35pm at Elks Stadium. On Thursday, the first 150 fans will receive a complimentary Falcons autographed baseball. Friday is Five Dollar Friday – a burger and pop is only $5! On Saturday, fans can enjoy beer specials all night. Full team schedule is online at

  3. Feeling competitive? Challenge yourself in the Across the Lake Swim – the largest and longest running open water swim event in Canada! Swimmers of all ages and abilities will be participating in the 2.1km swim across Okanagan Lake on Saturday July 18th. The race starts at the Old Ferry Docks in West Kelowna and finishes at Hot Sands Beach in City Park. Information at
