I made a discovery this week that any hockey fan in Kelowna will enjoy.

This is the view as we set sail aboard the Lake Lounge in Kelowna... with the hockey game on!
I had arranged for a group of media to eat dinner aboard the Lake Lounge, a modern houseboat that docks by the Sails on Bernard. My guests were hockey fans and were delighted to see that the Lake Lounge has not one, but 2, 50″ Plasma TVs showing the hockey game… and we soon found out that this is an amazing way to watch the game (plus, our team won)! And with their new hockey dinner series, you can enjoy this way to watch hockey, too.

Anne from Cabana Grille Catering smiles as she and Chef Jeff plate the feast on Lake Lounge.
Captain Mike Reddecliff and his fiancé Raina own the Lake Lounge, and offer some well-priced and enjoyable dinner cruises as well as being a great venue for special events. While the Playoffs are on, Mike and Raina are doing a dinner series which allows guests to come aboard and get the best of both worlds: a beautiful lake cruise with a great barbeque-themed dinner and one of the most memorable places to watch hockey.
For $45, you get a 2.5 hour cruise, gourmet burgers & sausages, Caesar salad, potato salad… all the fixings! The meal is catered by Cabana Grille Catering – and while the menu will regularly change for different cruises, the quality is always top-shelf. Chef Jeff does an outstanding job!
Captain Mike will come back to the dock during the second intermission for those who want to depart after the second period – or you can hang out on the boat and watch the third.
Lake Lounge also offers regular dinner cruises, but I had to pass along this info on watching the playoffs, because it is a truly memorable and amazing experience!
There’s a game tonight and Sunday (hopefully the rain chooses not to come in on Sunday) – check the NHL schedule for upcoming games. Go Canucks!
