Free Concerts in Kelowna Parks

It’s unanimous: at Tourism Kelowna, we have all agreed that everyone loves outdoor entertainment… especially when it’s FREE! July is here, which means that Parks Alive! is back with their July and August concerts and entertainment in Kelowna parks and public spaces… all of it free.

This means that Kelowna’s residents and visitors get to enjoy our enviable summer evenings with those gentle breezes off the lake and the setting sun while local and visiting artists serenade us with their music from acoustic guitar to indie rock, and blues to Middle Eastern music. Tonight and tomorrow night, Parks Alive! has a line up of great acts back to back all evening long starting at 6:30 pm in Kerry Park… and this is just the start of it all for the summer.

Presented by Festivals Kelowna, Parks Alive! produces over 40 events each year,  most of them happening in July and August.  The entertainment is family-friendly and suitable for people of all ages and tastes. Performers range from local artists to world-class professionals, performing in a variety of musical genres and styles.  So here’s my plan for the summer: one of these times when I’m hosting visiting friends and relatives, I’m going to pack up our dessert and a  beach blanket and make my way to a Parks Alive! concert with them. Then we’re going to spread out our blanket and savour the yummy dessert and free music in the park – and I’m willing to bet it will be one of those nights that can’t be replicated.

Enjoy the summer entertainment, and be sure to check the line up for Parks Alive! concerts coming up this month regularly. You can also friend them on Facebook to keep their line-up of events handy.
