Tantalizingly Green
Vineyard managers will tell you that a critical element to growing great grapes for wine is not to overwater them. You want small, flavourful grapes to make award-winning wine. With the new greywater catchment system of Tantalus Vineyards environmentally-minded winery facility, this winery will be able to achieve this goal using the rainwater they collect.
Kalala Winery a Winner at Major Competition
Wow – this is great news! Kalala Organic Winery in West Kelowna has netted some really fantastic awards: one for their Chardonnay Icewine at the Chardonnay Du Monde competition in France (the Oscars of the wine industry); and one for their Riesling at the California New World International Wine Competition. 364 Days of Beer That’s Not Green

Kelowna can keep right on wearing its red and white.
After playing host to Olympic teams from Germany and Sweden, Kelowna gets a chance to cheer on Team Canada this week. The Canadian Sledge Hockey Team arrived in Kelowna yesterday as part of its preparation for the 2010 Winter Paralympic Games in Vancouver.
New Chef for the El
Last fall, an article in the travel magazine Endless Vacation focused on the food scene in our abundant slice of BC. In a section entitled “Arrival of the Chefs”, author Anita Stewart enumerates the many star-quality Chefs that this valley attracts. Her premise is that where there is fresh produce in abundance, chefs will follow. [...]
