Wine & Dine Okanagan is here!

January does bring with it some very special perks! Among them is Wine & Dine Okanagan, an event that runs throughout January and offers diners set menus (3 courses) at over 50 different restaurants for $15, $25, and $35. It’s a steal of a deal!

Wine & Dine Okanagan offers great deals on 3-course meals!

Wine & Dine Okanagan offers great deals on 3-course meals!

For instance, at Cabana Grille you can get a roasted tomato soup or spinach salad, pasta/pizza as a main, and chocolatey dessert for $15. At RauDZ Regional Table, for $25, you can get a roasted cauliflower soup, a great looking open faced sandwich of merguez sausage with arugula, feta cheese, and hazelnut pesto with a salad, and one of their totally decadent desserts. Or for $35 at Waterfront Restaurant, you can get housemade perogies with a bacon vinaigrette or salad to start, then a main of beef tenderloin or a seafood plate with arctic char filet, and a choice of 2 equally mouth-watering desserts.

And these are just a couple of examples to whet you appetite. It’s a terrific way to enjoy great cuisine, at great prices, and try Okanagan wines. There’s also a chance to enter to win 2 flights on WestJet when you participate with the program.

I enjoyed a $15 three course meal yesterday at the Hotel Eldorado dining room. It consisted of a great organic salad, followed by a salmon filet on a bed of truffled mash potatoes and a lobster bisque. Dessert was a to-die-for molten chocolate soufflé that was so delicious and rich it’s practically a meal in itself!

It’s a great excuse to eat out in January at our favourite restaurants. Check the website at www.bcrfa.com to see the participating restaurants and their menus. Bon appetit!
