This is so cool! Have a look at this Bankhead Grade 6 song that has been approved by VANOC to be performed when the torch comes to Kelowna. It gives me chills. Way to go Bankhead and Johnny Vesterinen – you’re so creative!
In her article in the Kelowna Capital News, Jennifer Smith tells the story of how music teacher Johnny Vesterinen woke up with a line of a song playing in his head.
After fine-tuning the song for a month, Mr. V’s class will be performing the Olympic song in front of the Sails as the Torch passes by this Monday, January 25. Come out and support their spirit!
