Kelowna’s H2O Adventure & Fitness Centre
We had our first dusting of snow today – winter isn’t far off! While this brings snowy fun to our doorstep, it also means some people will be turning indoors now for their recreation. That’s why on today’s Juicy Tips radio show on 103.9 The Juice, we’re talking about the H2O Adventure Centre.

Inside the H2O Adventure & Fitness Centre in Kelowna.
I’ll bet you didn’t know that the H2O is in fact the largest municipally-owned water park in Canada. It’s true! Not only that, but it also features amenities like Canada’s first-of-its-kind Flow-Rider, an ocean wave simulator.

In action on the Flow-Rider
The H2O Centre is located in the Mission area of Kelowna on Gordon Dr., right next to the Capital News Centre. Admission to the water park is $9.45 for adults – and there are child, senior, and student rates available, too.
Among some of the neat things you’ll see at this water park: a wave pool; diving area; Olympic-sized pool, kids pool, river run, 3 water slides, and even a standing wave (that’s this Flow-Rider I was mentioning). It’s tons of fun just watching people surfing on this wave – I can only imagine how much more fun it would be to actually surf on it (once I get over my trepidation)!
There’s also a gym component to the Centre: a 12,000 square foot fitness facility with all the equipment you could ever need. I was blown away by the scope of this water park and fitness centre – and to think that the construction is to the highest efficiency standards possible, even incorporating solar lights in the parking lot! The great thing is that this water park and fitness programs available here are truly for everyone. Since the facility is municipally-owned by the City of Kelowna and run by the YMCA, it’s truly an adventure centre for everyone.
