Big White a Big Success With Families
Breaking news from our winter wonderland: Big White ski resort has been praised among the top 5 ski resorts for families in a major U.K. daily, the Sunday Times. The only North American ski resort to make the list, this is definitely a feather in the cap of this Kelowna ski resort.

Known for its "snow ghosts" (above) and champagne powder, Big White is sure to please every member of the family.
The newspaper writes: “This resort offers ski in, ski out convenience and, with the strength of the pound against the Canadian dollar, is affordable. The resort is laid back and perfect for families.” The Ski Club of Great Britain (skiclub.co.uk), which provides a comprehensive guide to more than 200 resorts around the world, provided the information for this story in the Sunday Times.

In a press release, Michael J. Ballingall, senior vice-president of marketing and sales for the resort, says:
“Most of us started to ski as part of a family vacation or activity, and our focus for the past three decades has really been on providing an outstanding winter family experience. It’s not uncommon to have three generations of families staying here – adults who starting skiing here twenty years ago, coming back with kids of their own in tow, and even the grandparents. We welcome UK skiers and boarders to come to Canada and experience champagne powder at Big White.”

Family amenities include an award-winning Kids Centre snowsport school, nightly family activities in the Village Centre Mall, the skating pond, tubing runs and more.
This is not the first time that Big White has been internationally recognized. Last year, the Daily Telegraph listed the Okanangan resort as 3rd in the “100 Top Ski Holidays for First Timers and Families”. The US-based Conde Nast Traveler magazine rated Big White as its Number 1 area for snow quality last year as well.
