Summerhill Embarking on New Eco Awareness Project
Scary fact: the majority of today’s kids can identify something in the order of 1200 logos, but are hard pressed to identify a dozen plants. I learned this from Stephen Cipes, the environmentally-dedicated proprietor of Summerhill Pyramid Winery in Kelowna.
To help with environmental awareness, he has teamed up with renowned Canadian artist Robert Batemen to create a special series of organic wine with collectible art labels, intended to fundraise for the Get To Know program. A portion of the proceeds of wine sales will go to this program designed to reconnect youth with nature.
